Jennifer has decided to close the store and the forum I am giving everyone till the 15th of APRIL 2009 to delete anything from the gallery and to get contact numbers or blogs etc for anyone you would like to stay in contact with. Sad news...

I have a sad heart this morning. I have received confirmation that one of my design team members has passed away. Beverly Todd had a brain bleed on the 23rd and was pronounced brain dead on the 24th. Her family donated her organs for transplant. She will be missed.
She was a member here and also has some creations in the gallery.

I finally got some time to stamp last night and I worked on a few ATC's that I'm swapping. I love making ATCs because they encourage me to use those stamps that I've had and never used. Since an ATC is such a small project, I don't feel stressed about using those odd grab-bag stamps that I just can't seem to give up! It also allows me to experiment with new techniques like using alcohol inks, Perfect Pearls etc. And the best thing, I get to use up some of my paper scraps!

Were the heck is everyone???

Handmade Flowers?

Someone, and I'm pretty sure it was Robin, posted some amazing layouts recently that used handmade flowers made from cutting cardstock and patterned paper. I know that I LOVED the way they looked, but now I can't find the post. I tried my own version last night and yuck, they turned out awful. So I'm trying to find the post again so I can see what I did wrong. Help!

...So much.... that I can throw away a stamped image if there are ink marks on it... like around the edges, or inside an open space of the image.... But there are some things you can do to cover it.... :sunny: * Like take a white ink pen, and carefully line over it.... * If I have stamped text directly on the pattern paper, and ink marks came on there, you can try cover it with some flowers or other embellishments... or I stamp the text on another piece of paper and glue ...

All right, I know that the rest of you are dealing with some major weather conditions such as snow and sleet...and power outages. So you aren't going to feel sorry for me at all when I tell you that we had a deluge today that even included hail, thunder and lightening. I took dd to doctor yesterday...strep throat...ugh...ds got home from church last night and started throwing up so I guess he has it too....going today to let doctor to take a look at him too! Plan to scrap when I get home!

Good Wednesday Morning, Ladies!! It's been so quiet in here lately, so I thought I'd see what ya'll were up to! It's been busy here with coming out of working extra hours during the 2 weeks before Valentine's day, and now having to catch up on things like laundry, that didn't get completely done while I was working extra hours. I am one of those people who mostly makes my own embellishments because the pre-made ones never seem to come in the color I want. I don't own a diecut machine so it's all hand-cut and handmade. I'm trying to start using the pre-made stuff I have in my stash in the hopes that it will speed my scrapping up but I still find myself getting frustrated with the ability to find the right color and themes etc. So, do most of you make your own embellishments or are you able to find things that work ...

Been having the heart tests this morning....and I am sooo glad that is over and they didn't panic, or keep me, so I assume I am okay for now! Was interesting to see the Ultra sound as they did it on my heart....pretty kewl to see!

I have one kiddo on the bus and one that I am battling to wake up and get dressed! Been wrestling with my blood pressure (again) for the last 3 days and boom....today was really bad.....Headed into the ER and had multiple tests done(including EKG and several chest x-rays) and after it was all said and done...looks as if I was Overdosed on my meds.....so now to take a couple of days off of BP meds and try to get back to normal! I am such a medicine woos.....I can't take tylenol without crashing out asleep and to have blood pressure meds build up in my system....I get sooooo ...

How is this month for you? It is big for us, with valentine's day & we celebrate, this year we are going out for a meal with friend's & then off dancing, woo hoo. My b/day & mil's b/day within days of us, lol & at the beggining of march we have a wedding to go to, gary is dj & im photographer!!! Oh & we are meant to be having our window's done too & i have the dentist & hospital. Lot's going on, if i survive have a good fun febuary!!!! lol.

Well when i first started all i had was a few sheet's of paper & a couple of embellies, buddled into a square tuppaware box, then it became 2 tuppaware boxes, to a few & then i had to have a table & shelf's set up & has grown more ever since. So if you are like me, Do you think you could ever go back to the beginning & survive with just a small box of goodies? I would like to think that maybe one day i will, i dont think i have alot anyway, it's just the way i store ...
