Sad news...

I have a sad heart this morning. I have received confirmation that one of my design team members has passed away. Beverly Todd had a brain bleed on the 23rd and was pronounced brain dead on the 24th. Her family donated her organs for transplant. She will be missed.
She was a member here and also has some creations in the gallery.

All right, I know that the rest of you are dealing with some major weather conditions such as snow and sleet...and power outages. So you aren't going to feel sorry for me at all when I tell you that we had a deluge today that even included hail, thunder and lightening. This is rare for us (I live on the coast in northern california....across the bay from San Francisco). We really need the rain but this was ridiculous. I got an order from FedEx today and the poor guy actually had to walk through ...

I took dd to doctor yesterday...strep throat...ugh...ds got home from church last night and started throwing up so I guess he has it too....going today to let doctor to take a look at him too! Plan to scrap when I get home!

Been having the heart tests this morning....and I am sooo glad that is over and they didn't panic, or keep me, so I assume I am okay for now! Was interesting to see the Ultra sound as they did it on my heart....pretty kewl to see!

So I should get the results next week...so for now...I am home!

I have one kiddo on the bus and one that I am battling to wake up and get dressed! Once he leaves, I will clean house a little and get my grocery list ready then off to pre-school to get Sophie and do the shopping...have to pick Alex at 3:10 to go to the Eye Doc.....hope my glasses are in because I can't drive after the sun goes down with sunglasses! 8)

Been wrestling with my blood pressure (again) for the last 3 days and boom....today was really bad.....Headed into the ER and had multiple tests done(including EKG and several chest x-rays) and after it was all said and done...looks as if I was Overdosed on my meds.....so now to take a couple of days off of BP meds and try to get back to normal! I am such a medicine woos.....I can't take tylenol without crashing out asleep and to have blood pressure meds build up in my system....I get sooooo ...

How is this month for you? It is big for us, with valentine's day & we celebrate, this year we are going out for a meal with friend's & then off dancing, woo hoo. My b/day & mil's b/day within days of us, lol & at the beggining of march we have a wedding to go to, gary is dj & im photographer!!! Oh & we are meant to be having our window's done too & i have the dentist & hospital. Lot's going on, if i survive have a good fun febuary!!!! lol.

After 9 1/2 days without power, water, heat.....I have them all again as of 7:30 last night!!!!! I have never seen my kiddos so excited (even at Christmas) Now to get the house cleaned up and life back to normal!

.... Power, Heat or Water!!! We lost it about an hour ago (3:30 am). DH uses a CPAP machine at night, so we knew as soon as it went out. I have a couple hours of battery power on my laptop, which is how I'm checking in. Sooo... based on how long the power company thinks it will be, I could be MIA for a bit. We'll need to find some place to go if it looks like it might be out for more than "hours". I'll try to keep you updated!

Do you use bookmarks?
I do.. I have tons and tons of em. They are all gone!! I click on the little tab and it's empty!! Eek! BUT if I go to manage bookmarks, they are there. What the heck? Why aren't they in the bookmark tab?
I'm so confused! I'm glad they aren't totally gone. I'd be so lost!
So.. anyone know how to fix this?

Guess where I am typing this from? My new laptop!! It only took me about half an hour to get it all set up and online.

I have to go back on tuesday for trainning, it look's like i have the job becoz on thursday she said they will take me through security & distribute keys etc, she talked about uniform that i have to wear & that she would order my shirt & in the mean time i should wear a white t-shirt, black trainner's/trouser's. I went and got my hair cut!! I think I like it!! I can't believe how much more it curls now. This is a good thing. I love my curls! She showed me what to do with it after wearing a hat all day and it'll only take a few minutes! What do ya think? It's a little blurry, but I gotta get to some homework!

... when I hear this rustling noise, then tap-tap-tap. I look up at the window and this is what I see peeking in at me... These are the Guinea (?sp) Hens that dh's uncle has that wander around the area. Ugly critters, huh? LOL Apparantely, they didn't want to be wandering anymore, and wanted to come in where it was warm! LOL They have been back to the window (and others in the apartment) several times since then too! Keep in mind... we are on the 2nd floor... so they are flying ...

You can see in my avatar what my hair is like on a bad day.. lol..
I want to get it cut. I'm tired of it! Going from work to school with it looking like crap just isn't getting it anymore! It's also down to my butt. I keep sitting on it and it's getting really hard to brush.

So.. what do you think I should do to it? I'm planning on getting it done on Saturday. I'd love to get a cut like Sarahs, but I have really thick hair and don't look well with really short hair....

I phoned for a job 25 hr's per week, will effect our tax credit's but wont in a big way, so this is good hr's, i can do it whilst the kida are in school too!!! Anyway becoz she said she would ring me back to arrange an interview, but has'nt as of yet & im getting deperate for a job!! As you can imagine in these time's, extra money is a must right now, SO i thought as i had'nt heard from them, i gave them a ring, that alway's look's good does'nt it when you show that you are interested ...
