Altered Tin-Create a Storybox
Story Box Tutorial
Let’s create a “Story Box” Gather your supplies and a photo you would like to use as the focal point. I used a photo of Sophie however, using a photo of someone you don’t know is fun too! Making up the crazy story as you go!
Using any shape box sand and prepare the surface for the altering technique you choose to use!
Cover the prepared surface with your choice of medium(I opted to paint it)
I next cut a patterned paper to line the inside of the box.
I placed the photo inside the box and added some embellishments to the outside cover, remember to build in layers for more depth and interest.
Here is the fun part of a story box! Search thru any old printed text for words which will tell the story you wish to present. Cut out the words and shuffle them around until you find the perfect combination. Glue down the words
Remember to add the text to the cover too, this will intrigue the viewer to look inside. I added words to the edge and then inked to create a uniform appearance.
Add details and embellishments to the interior!
