I hate them ink marks....
...So much.... that I can throw away a stamped image if there are ink marks on it... like around the edges, or inside an open space of the image....
But there are some things you can do to cover it....
* Like take a white ink pen, and carefully line over it....
* If I have stamped text directly on the pattern paper, and ink marks came on there, you can try cover it with some flowers or other embellishments...
or I stamp the text on another piece of paper and glue over it...
* If the ink mark is on a white cardstock around the edges of the image, I also use a sponge and distress ink, and I distress all the edges around the image, and it will be well covered....
* But if the ink mark is inside an open space of the image, like on a dress, umbrella or so on.... I`ll throw it away immediately.....nothing can save that I think...

ROFL!!!
I also hate them, but usually trim my rubber or acrylic around the edges to avoid doing this, but like you say there is always a way out of this problem!

I always wipe my stamps with a wipe as I stamp, however I have requests often to stamp some with marks as the buyers want the handmade feel to the cards! I usually will send some clean and some with marks when I drop them off at the museum!

Museum? sorry i am new...lol
I wipe and also try to ensure I don't get the marks, but I will try to cover them, and if I can't, not use the image or cut it out

AWK! Ink Marks....I hate them as well. That's why I always trim my stamps closely. I even take mounted stamps off the mount (10 seconds in the microwave will loosen the glue enough to peel the stamp off the wood mount) and trim them even closer.
If there is still a mark around the outside, then I color the image and cut it out. Even if I try to cover it...you can still see the darn thing peeking through!
