I do a bit of it. I am beginning to like it more and more... at first I really didn't. I think it just kind of grows on ya! Smile

I've just started out with altering things. For the longest time I didn't think I could do it, but once I started it was so much fun!

i love to alter but sadly i'm too frugal just to make something pretty and have no use for it. scratch i always make my kiddo's teachers "end of the year" thank you gifts, i've altered frames for gifts, made mini albums from recycled stuff and i love to make little gift card holders for holidays using recycled stuff.

i found this pic of the glass jar i picked up at a thrift store and altered it. my concept was to give the teacher a jar with clalk paint that she could change the writing on for class treats or whatever she wanted to store in the jar. i altered the box of chalk that goes with it. not the best pic but it's all i have.

I`m collecting boxes to alter, but I never ever come around to do it.... scratch
I have this idea in my head that it`s hard to make the pattern paper look great on the box or items.....

I've done some altering, but I don't feel I'm that great at it. Here's an earring frame I did - I think it's the best altered art project I have done so far.

Megan! I LOVE your earring holder! I have one too, that I did (in my gallery). It was SO fun! I love picking my earrings off of it every day! It makes me smile:) Your's is such bright cheery colors too! Great job! I love altered art, but admittedly, am just getting into it as well. Other than the box (in gallery) and a tshirt, does that count? Used some Q&CO felt fusion/bling. And the earring holder...I'm still a 'newbie' at it I guess. Have lots of ideas though:)

I love seeing the things that people alter!! So creative!

Sarah, all that stuff together at your wedding must have looking gorgeous!!

I had some puter' issues recently, and seemed to have "misplaced" my altered art file! :geek: I'm sure it's here somewhere! lol! I do have pics of a couple of my most recent altering projects...

Not sure if these count... but I altered these pumpkins... hehe

A box I foung on clearance at Michael's... it was scratched up, but I was able to cover all that by alterting & I now store all my little $1 stamp sets...

OK... these aren't exactly "altered" but I had so much fun playing with my Cricut & software to make these place cards for Easter...
