How Do You Store Your Ribbon?

My daughter and I have been trying to sort through my oodles and oodles of ribbon. I was wonderinghow all of you store your ribbon? and does it work for you?

Well, for now, it's all in boxes. But, before we moved, I had a ribbon rack (my oldest dd made it for me in her building trades class). And for loose ribbon I sorted by color, attached the ends to safety pins and strung the safety pins onto looseleaf rings and hung them in my close. Worked pretty good for me.

i store mine in cd holders.. i fold them and hold them down with a rubber band then sort them with colors.. and the cds i put in a pretty cd holder.. very easy

On the rolls they came on and in a drawer. Not the best but that's what I've got for now.

I store mine in cube drawer units by color......I use to store them in floss boxes until I got 14 floss boxes and space was a problem!

I store mine in little glass containers from IKEA (which by the way is THE place to go for storage solutions!), organized by color.

i recently took most all of my embellies and color coded them into photo boxes. so far it's working great. as i sit down and decide on a color scheme for my layout, i pull down the appropriate boxes of color and my ribbons, brads, flowers, felt, etc....are all in one place.

now i do have a basket on my desk that olds rubons, cardstock stickers, and multi colored items that just don't fit in my boxes.

I dont have alot, im not really into it right now, but i have a small basket & it's loose in there. not organised at all.

When I color coded my things, it worked better than any other system....Love how you can just grab the color container needed and you have every single kind of embellie to work with!

I have one of these and LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!

But there is hole in the plastic wall, so you put the ribbons and lace in, and stick the end out the hole, and then just pull and cut.... it`s genius!!
It has more then 300 holes, that is a lot of ribbons!!!!!!

Yes I heard that too, but they got blisters in their hand.... :cyclops:
And this doesn`t cost that much...not even in Norwegian money...
So I just bought one!!!
Maybe a tip for the store Jennifer....

I would have too much ribbon for one of those......it would have to be allllll holes for me...I LOVE ribbon, fiber, and trims!

then you can get two or more!!!
And sort them after colors....

LOL...guess I could! I will get a photo of how my ribbons are stored when I go out to the studio!

Actually...I would like to see photos of your studio too....

Oh, now you are going to make me go clean it! LOL

I have some photos of it before I got everything moved into it and set up......will hunt them down!

How does it not get tangled and knotted onthe inside though? I think they are a great idea. I have seen them before....Plus I iwll look into getting a couple for the store.
