Oct 16 - Use DieCuts!

This week, I thought we should do some digging! Go through your stash, and see what kind of die cuts you have...not newer ones (though it might be hard to resist!)...I mean, the ones you got a long time ago, and had great intentions for and just never got around to it! You know what I'm talking about....shapes, letters, words...the ones you intended for a title, or simply to embellish a great photo, yet never got around too!
So...for my example...I had photos from when I hiked through the Great Smokey Mountain National Park in TN. It's SO beautiful there! I did these pages as a cover for a two page LO. They are fold out pages, both 12x12, and they open out all the way. I just pictured the cover pages here to illustrate this weeks challenge.
Since this is a Use Your Stash challenge...I also used several pieces of blue-ish papers I had, with different textures, and tore them to mimic the mountains. Also used some vellum in the back layer. Chalked everything with some blue chalk...and tore some 'clouds' with white cardstock...(chalked in purple for some depth), and placed the die cuts on the clouds! Simple! I really like it, and the great part is....I got to Use My Stash! Nothing on this page is new:) Makes me feel good to use my stuff:)

Gives me good reason to go get more of it

great pages girls! i think i have a stash hidden somewhere of a small collection of diecuts i've had probably 8-10 years. ha! hey...stop laughing as they are just shapes. :P lol

We should have a 'who can use the most 'old' die cuts on a page' challenge, lol!!

The shoe was a die that i bought WAY back when i first started off using dies, & i had LOADS of idea's, i challenged myself to use some "old" dies & this is what i did.

Great Layouts, ladies & Sarah that card is just adorable!! I still use die cuts all the time... just "jazz" them up a bit... and I'm always making more with my Cricut!

I don't think I have any I would consider "OLD" will have to search this week after we return from our trip!

I just got some "new" christmas ones & some fonts too, so it would'nt count here.

Sarah, that card is TOO CUTE!!! LOVE that shoe!! I have some outdoorsy/hiking/backpacking ones I really REALLY need to do something with! Proper-timing since it's fall, eh? Better get home and start scrapping!

I will dig thru DD's stuff and see if she still has some old ones!
