We off to the zoo today!!

I dont know who is more excited me or the kids!!

It's half term here & i love family outing's, with 3 kids & today im babysitting, so 4 things do get alot expensive, so days like this are few & far between!!

Gary works with a man who has kindly given us 3 free tickets to get into the zoo other it would be £7ish for each kid & £9ish for each adult, there's no way i would pay that to look around the zoo, even though there are many advantages for adult's & kid's.

BUT then on top of those prices you are expected to pay a donation???

I will remeber to take the camaera & picture for you to see too!!

We are back, & early as planned, igo to work in an hour now, BUT i am well NOT happy, my worst nightmare ever happened!

It was a good day, a very good day & the children were good & happy apart from the usuall nagging to see everything & go on everything imediatly!!

Im the one who had a hissy fit, i needed batteries for my camera as my kirklands i ran out of, g said he had some but they were panasonic, not enough power to run the camera even to turn it on!!!!!!!!!!!

SO NOT HAPPY, i thought we dont get to go to the zoo that often & with it being too expensive with not likly to go again any time soon. I thought the day was going to go by with no photo's & memories to preserve.

So i asked a passer by who had a camera if i could buy some of thier batteries off them, gary & the kids ran in shame, but i wanted photo's!!! They were very nice ppl & gave 2 AA's to me, i was so thankfull & jump for joy.....

So i got some batteries & they only work for all of 3 photo's, then they were dead again.*sigh*, as we were going around the ppl who gave me the batteries, we close by us the whole time, so i had to keep my camaera in my hand & pretend i was about to take a photo, but *oh the animal isnt co-operating* i did'nt want to upset them, they were nice little old couple, kwim?

Anyway, g had his mobile phone with him so he took lots on there & will upload them asap, for now i have to go to work.

Did the gift shops not sell batteries????? I keep two camera battery packs charged all the time as extras!

I am famous for letting the batteries run out all the time. I remeber my last trp to Calgary, Alberta I ran out of batteries.....K and mine are even rechargable too!

oh bummer that is so annoying I had the same with my old digi camera and when I up graded to and inbetweenie It has a battery pack that goes on charge and I have over 3,000 photos on the card and I have so far charged it twice,It amazes me how it lasts so long!

You'd think, but no, they only had AAA's & they were panasonic that my camera does'nt take.
