My poor kitty!!!

The first cat we got a couple years ago is about to die. The kids were out playing and he followed them home, and then wouldn't leave. He was so pretty I just had to keep him. He quickly became my cat. When he was about a year old he got hurt pretty bad. He healed in a couple months, but then he got really sick. It was then we found out that he had leukemia. He pulled out of being sick and for another year he was fine.

Now the poor thing is just skin and bones, and today he has no energy at all. I'm afraid in a day or two he'll be gone. I sure do love my kitty...

How sad...Feline leukemia is soooo contagious and sooooo sad!!!! Sorry you are having to go thru this!

I am so sorry to here that...I had one cat that I had to put down when I came home and she was lying on her back feeding her babies...but she was panting and her eyes were rolled back in her head!

Dawn, So sorry to hear your kitty is sick! I hope you can be comforted by the fact that you gave him lots of love, and a great home! I know nothing makes it any easier though. We are thinking of you!

OH no Dawn! I know how much you love your kitty. But it sounds like he needs to get some rest now, poor thing.

He seems to be doing a little better. Caitie put food in a bowl with water and it ate it!! He's walking better to. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

The vet wants us to put him down, but I just can't bring myself to do it. He should have already died twice now. This will the the third. I just wish I knew if he was suffering or not...

Glad to hear he is feeling a tad better.....I always heard (from vets) it was a painful disease....but I never saw any signs from my two that had it! With current vaccines.....they immunize for it early now and rarely do you see it anymore!

Aww Dawn I am happy your kitty seems better. Please make sure you give him/her all the love you can. We had the family dog for 18 years and the last few years that was all my dad focused on!

He's doing so well today!! He played a little with Mushroom, our little kitty. He hasn't done that in a couple months. He's eatting more now and drank a whole bowl of water!

Right now he's curled up on my desk just purring away! (that also hasn't happened in awhile!)

I'm glad he seems to be feeling better!! We lost a furbaby to FL, and she showed no signs of it until right at the end. She was born with it, so we knew early on, and just vaccinated our other kitty at the time (her sister, who was not born with it). We had her over 5 years, and then she was gone in a matter of a couple of days.

Im so pleased thing's are loooking up for him!!
