Have you ever made albums as gifts? If so, do you enjoy it as much as when you make albums for yourself?

I've made several gift albums, and it's fun, but I try to include journaling in my gift albums too which I find a lot harder to do than when I journal on pages for my own album.

I have made one album as a gift it was a very,very special album for my father of all his life at sea school,and ships etc, it took along time tracking everything down but so worth it!

I have made several gift albums! I usually leave journaling spots and give an archival pen with the album for the recipient to use to fill in the spots!

Yes twice, the first time was'nt as good as i left it empty for her to add photo's, thats was when i first started out & i would have thrown it away if i recieved now looking back....

But the other was just a few months ago & posted on my blog, that one i had a hard job giving that one away, it was a mini album of my trip to ipswich with my little girl, meeting a fellow scrapper & board member, to another board.

I make gift stuff all the time, lol...sometimes I think I make more cards/gifts to give than to keep! (Got 2 baby-books to make as we speak).
I LOVE to make gift stuff! I'm learning to let go though...people love when you make and give them stuff....but they don't always use it or do with it what's intended.
I made a gift album (little cardstock accorian album) for on my bff's at work, one time...(we work shifts, so I saw her again that night, and she had it at work with her)...well, I noticed when I came back that night, it was on the break-room table, with coffee spilled on it. That hurt my feelings, that she couldn't be more careful with it. But I know it was surely an accident. I do wonder though, if she ever put the pictures in it...or what happened...don't want to ask. (It was made with places for pics of her grandbabies).
Now, I think I consider more, if the item will get used or be appreciated. Otherwise, I might still make something, but not be so 'fussy' about it, kwim?

I love to make mini albums for gifts! I have a bunch made & stored (used to sell on ebay). I really think I enjoy making them for gifts almost as much as I enjoy making them for myself.
