it's all inthe phonics....if it sounds right who cares if it is spelt right? Don't let a teacher see that!

LOL I can't stand when I misspell something! Drives me NUTS! My spell check catches most of my errors!

As a teacher myself, I agree!!! Very Happy The funny thing about that is that a teacher CAN figure out what you are trying to say!!! I've deciphered a good many things that kids have written. The fun ones are the ones that grade 1 students write! It's amazing how they can "sound out" words!

I tend to think faster than my fingers type and miss letters... but being so anal, I end up going back to fix it most of the time! lol!

I love reading what my 6 year old (1st grade) writes... usually I can figure it out by seeing the words she writes... it's funny how some words turn out on paper from her sounding them out! Smile

lol.. I use spell check almost every time I type something!
My daughter is in 4th grade and spelling is the utmost WORST for us! Phonics makes no sense to her, or me either for that matter! We didn't have that when I was in school. This year has been full of all those words that are not spelled how they sound with all those silent letters. Like gnat! Rolling Eyes

I wouldn't worry so much about spelling mistakes. Just so it doesn't involve money you are all set to go Smile

I blame my 'having to spell correctly' on my Virgo-ness. lol.
I don't know if it's that or what. But my fingers get ahead of my brain most of the time, and I have to go back and fix it. Thankfully, I'm a quick typist...so even fixing my mistakes doesn't take too long there.
