Shadows Hole Empty Shadows Hole

Post by Duskie Mon Nov 17, 2008 1:13 pm

Okay, here's the best picture I could get. I left it on photobucket for those of you who really don't want to see it! I have sent a few emails to vets online about it. One replied back this morning wanting a picture. They feel from what I've told them that Shadow is 'one rare kitty' I hope they can tell me something more about what is going on with him. I hope I did this right and this link works!

I heard back from the vet! He thinks that Shadow was bitten by one of those wolf spiders we have in the basement. Since he doesn't have an immune system the poison ate away the skin. But from what they can tell the skin looks pretty good and he could live a few years if we keep him on antibiotics! The are going to contact my vet and when he does happen to pass they want my vet to send him to them so they can study him. We are not to cover the hole because he could suck in the gaze and chock on it.
I can't believe my kitty could make history! No one can believe he's still alive and doing well. We need to check his temp a few times a day and give him medicine in the morning and night.
Thanks for all the well wishes!

Wow...that is scary....first I think you need to kill all those wolf spiders..I think they are a little dangerous! Second, I hope poor shadow is alright...taking a temp a couple times a day is nothing to keep your beloved pet up to par...
