Do you use your scraps? If so, how do you organize them? If so, how often do you clean them out?

I try and make myself use at least one scrap on each layout. I have two different files for scraps - one is a receipt billfold divided into sections by color. These hold my small scraps. If something is smaller than 3 inches, I don't keep it. The second holder is a 12 x 12 plastic expandable pocket that holds my larger scraps which qualifies as anything that is smaller than 12 x 12 and doesn't fit into the billfold. Every three months or so, I clean out the files by recycling scraps I'll never use or using up the scrap by making cards.

I try to always use my scraps immediately and make cards but I just started this system sooooo I have tons of older scraps and I have them sorted in stacking tubs by color! I never throw any of them away!

I save/use them... usually for cards, but sometimes to use with my Cricut/Cuttlebug. Mine are all thrown in a big drawer right now... not organized at all. Sad

I have a big pizza-sized box that fits 12x12's, so they are all in there! No organization! I usually use them to make cards, and for smaller cuts off cricut, or with QK. I am going to try to organize by color here soon, in anticipation of Shimelle's JYC class, and for getting more cards done easier. I think if they were more organized, I'd use them more. But I have a hard time throwing away! It's paper afterall, lol!! Me loves my paper Very Happy

I keep my cardstock scraps with my my solid cardstock but keep it in the front so I use it first. My patterned paper I keep in a Cropper Hopper folder and try to use it as much as I can. Very Happy
