What are your thoughts on altered projects?

I am not a project fan. I'll create some things, but I prefer to stick with layouts and cards. I see some scrappers create really cute altered items and I think, "I wish I was that creative" but I feel most of my altered items come out looking like a kindergarten project.

I love altering thing's esp when it turns out the way i want it to & sometimes not v.often but better than i imagined, kwim?

I love the thought of altering stuff....I have lots of stuff that I want to alter too...but I am having trouble finding the time to do this stuff!
