Photo Transfers with Paint Daubers
To create a photo transfer using your Adirondack Paint Daubers, you need the following supplies:
Dauber(any color)(the chalk base formula is perfect for this technique)
Spray bottle of water
Heat gun
Paint brush
Wax paper (or any kind to cover your work space)
Card, tag, or card stock for your base.
texturing tool(optional)
Photo image copy(using a toner copier)
Gather your supplies and cover your work space.
Remove the dauber cap on the paint dauber and use a brush to apply a thick coat on your base surface. (the paint should be mayonnaise thick)
Flip your photo image face down into the paint and begin to press firmly to remove all air bubbles.
You may also choose to add texture to the background now if you want.
Allow your project to dry throughly(from an hour to several days-you may use a heat gun to speed the process however the project must cool down before the next step)
Spritz the back of the photo image slightly.(don't over saturate!
Gently begin to rub the paper from the project. Use a light touch and add water as needed.
I have found a clean dauber is great to get some of the final paper off!
Your image is now ready to adorn it and use it to create a fun and interesting personal project.
