Re: Costumes....?
Halloween is really not a big thing here in Sweden and up until a few years ago we just didn't have Halloween!
DS has been to a couple of Halloween parties and they always do something in school and at daycare. We usually decorate a little at home, but nothing major.
This year DS' class is having a Halloween party, but I have no idea what we're gonna do as far as costume yet. One year he went as Dracula, I painted his face all white with face paint, he had a black wig and a cape - he looked great!
Any ideas what to do with a 10 year old boy??

Re: Costumes....?
Helen, my son loved being a pirate last year and it was fairly easy to come up with something.
----------
my two older kiddos are going to be character out of their fave video games (anime & army type characters). my little guy is going to be a cowboy.

Re: Costumes....?
I'm just terrible at sewing, I'd like something simple... A pirate might work, no need for sewing there - just ripping!!
Re: Costumes....?
We aren't 100% sure yet, but youngest dd might be Snow White. We have to go through some of the costumes we have to see what fits who.
Re: Costumes....?
I bought DD's costume at the end of the season last year at Walmart for $2.00 then we added fishnet hose and jewelry and a sword and we are set to go!!!!! Thank goodness her black boots still fit from last year!
I always keep extra costumes around and every year I buy the ones left over at walmart!

Re: Costumes....?
With four girls, we started putting away the costumes after Halloween for future use. So, we have a small stash to pull from.

My kiddos are all grown up so I don't have to worry about this any more.

Re: Costumes....?
Picked up the coolest mask today - kind of a buffy-style demon thing. but Halloween isn't big here either.
Re: Costumes....?
It is a shame that its not, becoz i love halloween & we celabrate it, wish it was big like the states though!
Im just as bad as the kid's at times, lol, but i was'nt allowed to go "trick or treating" so i suppose it's comming out now i have kids to celabrate it with!!

Re: Costumes....?
Now I know you ladies are dressing your kiddies:) But my 'kids' have four-legs. I almost ( ) bought costumes for them the other day. (I have in the past, when I only had two dogs, now we have three, and two are puppies, they wouldn't last long-the costumes I mean) BUT it would make for cute pics now wouldn't it? Hmmmm...
