Stupid Computer

I don't know what happened to this stupid thing, but since the weekend Interent Explorer hasn't been working right. It'll let me go to a few pages, then it just closes. I've tried everything. Deleted and reinstalling, restoring my computer to an earlier date, downloaded updates. None of those worked. So now I've reset all my interent settings and lost EVERYTHING!! This better work or my neighbors are going to see my tower take its first flying lesson!!

I suggest you change to Firefox. I used to have so many problems with IE, it was driving me nuts! Also, I was getting viruses every now and then. Everything has worked just fine since I installed Firefox!

First of all, hy helen nice to "see" you! Dawn I am sorry that your computer acts up! I hate that....good thing I have aback up for my laptop....the desktop in my daughters room. I have thrown a few mice though.....I buy a new mouse about every 3 months!

I agree with Helen, Duskie. We have firefox too, and it's been great! Good luck with your computer problems. I KNOW it's hard....I get SOOOO frustrated with the computer when it acts up, or when the net makes things complicated!

If you must go with an IBM compatible computer....LOL and not MAC....use Firefox for sure....otherwise.....go with a MAC and use FIREFOX...ROFL....so sorry to hear you are having trouble......is sooooo frustrating.....after several IBM compats had flying lessons...I changed and no probs since!

hehe!! I have XP Rose. Glad to know that my isn't the only one to fly!!

After all that bull, I figured out what it was. Flashplayer updated, but didn't update correctly so it was crashing! So far, so good. Now to see if I can my interent back to how I had it before! Most of my bookmarks weren't important. I'm bad about adding them, but not deleting when done!

Is firefox much different for explorer?

Firefox is super stable compared to IE

About the flashplayer, my nieghbour friend's laptop keept crashing & closing down, g tried to sort it by wiping everything out & re-installing everything, it worked for a while then i think its doing it again!
I'l tell them about the flashplayer problem & see if he has it?
It could be an option.

I normally don't have to many problems... well, since I turned off the automatic updates! Now, DF's computer is a different story!! The kids will get on there and then I have to go and fix it all!!

aaahhh...kids are definately a problem when it comes to puters.....mine each have there own now......solved that one fast.
