Todays the day!
Today is the day of my EMG test. I'm so scared I think I'm going to be sick!!
It hasn't been bothering me much, although I was sleeping on my back lastnight and woke up with my shoulder killing me!! I rolled over and now it's not so bad! I've had this pain for so long when it's not really bad I hardly notice.
DF is going with me. He's already mad at the doctor so hopefully all goes well! I don't want him to mak the doctor mad BEFORE the test! I know this is crazy, but keep your fingers crossed that they found something wrong! (this has been an ongoing problem for years!)

Re: Todays the day!
I could always send you my good arm & hand
but then you would have to pick it up
hope it goes well, just tell ted to "Sit like a good boy" and no shouting at the doctor

Re: Todays the day!
All done. I really hope no one has to go threw that. It was such a nice visit. :pale: We get there, I already had the paperwork filled out since they mailed them to me. I tell them I'm there, sit down and then they are calling me back. They didn't want my DF to go in with me, but I had to have him there for many reasons. So, he with me. I can into a gown and then the big bad man came in to do the test.
He really wasn't one for chit chat. He got right to it. Hooked me up to a few things, told me I'd feel a little shock, nothing bad. What a liar! He shocked my arm and the whole right half of my body jumps. Everytime. I'm not sure if that is normal, or just the fact that I'm 5'1 1/2 and 90some pounds, but the first one scared the crap out of me! But it started to cause the pain I feel when my arm is bothering me at my worst.
Then came the needles. The first is in my upper arm, it was nothing. I relaxed a little. He moved down the arm a little, not bad either. Then I have to bend my elbow, he puts the needle in my bent elbow and then shocked me and wanted me to relax. Whatever!
But then comes the worst part. He put it in that area between your thumb and finger. Then I had to squeeze my hand with the needle still there. I could barley move my hand. There were 2 more like that in different spots on the hand.
I cried for 2 hours after that. Couldn't move my arm for half the day and still now my hand is at it's worst.
Ready for the best part? There is no nerve damage and he see's nothing wrong. Sort of mentioned something about conic pain something. He never said hi, didn't give us time to ask question or make comments, nothing.
So now I'm going to bed!
