When do you start decorating for the holidays?

When do you start decorating for the Christmas Holiday?

We "usually" start sometime around the middle of December. This year, I may put up our tree early though. This little apartment needs a little holiday spirit!

We put our's or i should say I put our's up after the 15th of december as thats corey-max birthday & we let him have his b/day first then start to celebrate christmas, we try to keep celebration's seperate, does that make sence?

My b-day is the 21st... little harder to do that! But my hubby & girls always manage to make it special anyway.

Depends on when I have gifts ready to go under the tree....I need at least 5 ready to go under the tree before I will put it up! I can't stand a nekkid tree!

I am the complete opposite... I don't put anything under the tree until Christmas Eve! Mostly because I know my kitties are a bit too curious, and I don't want to re-wrap gifts!

We usually wait to decorate until after Thanksgiving as well. Try to get to celebrate holidays without running them all together, hard to do in today's world! I mean, Halloween was not even officially over and they had Christmas stuff out here! Jeesh!!

We will probably put a tree up in late November though, as we are {insert happy dance here} going on vacation in middle December!! whoo hoo!!!

I don't usually put names on any of the packages until later...I wrap each persons in one paper so no one knows whose is whose! In a tiny gift box on the tree is a small swatch of their paper(I put those on Christmas Eve) Keeps them guessing all the way up to time to open!

Well that is a really cool idea!! I know I'd still end up re-wrapping though!

I use to put everything out the day after thanksgiving because we have a "Get into the Spirit of Christmas" party. But my mom has been having it at her house. So last year I put the tree up a week before Christmas. This year, I'll probably start the first week of December.
