HUNTERS-ick!
Do any of you have to deal with hunters.....they are constantly asking to hunt on our land....today DH's Boss is hunting here.....I just don't like that I can't take the kids for a walk without worrying about flying bullets!!!! DH hunts but he is the only one who likes DEER meat!!!
Re: HUNTERS-ick!
Before we moved, we had three old hunters (I'm talking in their 70's! They were so sweet!) who asked permision to go throuh our property to get up to their deer stand on the mountain behind the house. We let them go up, because they weren't actually hunting on our land. Last season, one of the 3 passed away. It was sad to see the other two come for a bit longer, but they removed the deer stand at the end of the season, as their buddy was no longer there to hunt with them.
Living where we do now, over MIL's general store, we have to see them come to "check" the deer they killed. Not something I get involved in, but occaisonally end up seeing on "sleeping" in the back of a pick-up.

DH and his Boss are in the woods now.....they are trying to pick out a perfect spot for BOSS to hunt!
Re: HUNTERS-ick!
Well, I don't have the problem on my land as I have none....and live in an apartment....I am no sure hunting is so big out here....I do know that my friend Tammys son shot his first this year.....and he is 16....but I htink they go way out somewhere....
Re: HUNTERS-ick!
No, no no, my opinion is different, but there's no deer's here if anything ppl hunt for wild rabbits & hairs, thats the best it gets, it so sad,
Re: HUNTERS-ick!
Not here. My family at home in Ohio owns a lot of land which they can hunt. So that's what the hunters in my family do.
Re: HUNTERS-ick!
I hear more gunshots now too! Makes the dogs go crazy, and makes me scared to let them out. They don't leave our property, and no one should be hunting where bullets would be flying by, but it worries me nonetheless.
