Re: I went shopping!!!!!
Do you ladies have the original Cricut or the Expression? I'm going to ask for some advice when I get more time to chat but I was having some "issues" with my Cricut the other day.

Re: I went shopping!!!!!
I have both the original and the expressions......I use them constantly! I Work for a sales rep and do all of her scrapping for examples and her personal scrapping......so usually I run both machines at the same time to get the job done faster! LOL
Re: I went shopping!!!!!
I too have both the Original & Expression. I usually only use the Expression, but it's nice to have the smaller one to take to crops too!
Re: I went shopping!!!!!
Okay so I have had the cricut for awhile and am embarassed to say that I rarely use it. I finally pulled it out again the other night to make my grandnephew a birthday card.
I used SU cardstock and tried to print out "Happy" and "Birthday" from the celebration cartridge and also balloons with little swirls in them.
I found that my paper was tearing on the intricate things so that the balloons and the word "birthday" were useless. I also have a hard time getting things off the sticky sheet. It makes me just want to put it in the closet. HELP!!! What am I doing wrong?? :geek: :geek:

You need the pressure set to high and the speed to LOW...and use the spatula tool to remove the cut items! Hope that helps.....if it doesn't work.....change the blade!JayZee wrote:Okay so I have had the cricut for awhile and am embarassed to say that I rarely use it. Re: I went shopping!!!!!
Thanks Holly I'll give that a try. I know that I have the pressure high but not sure about the speed. I've barely used it so the blade should be fine I would think.

Re: I went shopping!!!!!
JayZee, I found at first that I had to pay attention to the cutting speed, for how detailed my image/lettering was, and to the pressure setting in relation to the thickness of paper I was trying to cut. The manual helps A LOT! Or it did me anyway. Hope that helps. I still pull the manual out from time to time. But playing with it, on scraps, is the best way to figure out what works for you.
