We went and spent the afternoon celebrating my Granny's 100th birthday! It was a HUGE party and a congressman attended with gifts from our Senator and President Bush! She was presented a flag that had been flown over the US capitol in her honor as well as tons of gifts from friends and family! She was awarded a Queen of HIckman county (made up award) was adorable...she got a crown, a sash to wear and a dozen red roses from the county where she grew up! Her best friend attended and played "Happy Birthday" on the piano for her...she was 100 in April! My cousin created a wonderful slide show of photos from her life which also included interesting tidbits....for instance all the presidents from 1908 forward! There was information about what things cost in 1908. It was soooo KEWL! All in all it was fabulous....today and tomorrow we will attend additional family functions while everyone is home!

Over 20 of my scrappy online friends from around the world made and sent her cards, was sooooo fun! She was on t.v. this morning on the local news too!
