What technique do find yourself going to a lot lately?

For me, I really like finishing off my layouts with a simple straight line border around the edge of my layout. All I use is a pen or marker.

What about you?

Yes, I do a lot of inking.

I WISH I had a sew machine - -I love the stitch look on layouts.

These are my tries! I got this cute little sewing machine for like 30 bucks and it does all the different stitches. it is small but I don't plan on sewing clothes or anything. I think I just need practice.

I think the technique that I love or what I can't live with most of the time on my page is the burnshed Velvet Technique....the one with all the glitter!

Jennifer you need to adjust the tension on your machine, did it come with a manual, it will tell you somewhere how to do it.

I bought my machine strictly for paper, & it did the same thing, i gave up & read the manual, that helped alot!!

lol!

I had the same problem with my machne until I adjusted the tension. Smile

I would have to say I'm part of the inking crowd... I like how it can define the different papers a little better. Smile

I love the look of hand stitching too! I have all this embroidery floss from when I was a kid and used to make friendship bracelets. Now I find myself using it to hand-stitch on my layouts!

Well, I'm definetly in with the inking crowd! For sure. But I've lately gotten into stitching too:) It's fun. It was scary at first. But once you get the tension right, it's a breeze!! Smile

I'm guessing if you loosen up the tension of the thread, you'll get a much better result! (Been there, done that...)
