Maya Road home for the holidays 11/10

With the Holidays around the corner, we here at Maya Road are proud to present the Maya Road Home for the Holidays Contest! Take one or more of our Maya Road chipboard houses and decorate them for the Holidays to enter our contest! We are looking for the best looking houses on the block filled with innovative techniques and more! This contest will be judged by the talented Maya Road design team.Maya Road will be offering over $500 in prizes for this contest to be given to 5 winners. The prizes will be divided up as follows:

Grand Prize Winner (1 winner) - $250 in Maya Road products
First Runner-Up (1 winner) - $150 in Maya Road products
Finalists (3 winners) - $50 each in Maya Road products

One other great benefit is that if you alter our house, we will help build someone elses by donating $5 to Habitat for Humanity for each qualifying Home for the Holidays entry. That's right! You alter one of our Maya Road 3-D houses and we will make a $5 donation to help build a Habitat home.

FAQ on the Maya Road Home for the Holidays Contest
What do I need to do to enter this contest?
Maya Road is celebrating Home for the Holidays. We want to see projects made from some of our three 3-D houses (Maya Road Townhouse, Bungalow or Villa). To enter, create a house (or 2 or 3 or a whole village if you want) out of one of our Maya Road houses. How do you define Home for the Holidays? You can see each of the houses in their raw form here:
Townhouse
Bungalow
Villa

The only requirement is to use one of the houses and come up with a Home for the Holidays theme! We give extra points for creativity! Make sure you decorate the album comes inside each house too!

You do not have to have a specific amount of Maya Road product to submit a house - the only requirement is a decorated Maya Road house (or more than 1 house) listed above.

How many times can I enter?
We are accepting one (1) entry per person.

What is the timing for entering my house?
We will be accepting entries until 11:59pm (CST) on November 10th, 2008. Be sure to read the entire FAQ section for information on how to enter your house!

Where can I purchase one of these houses?
Please, please, please support your favorite LSS or online store and ask them about these Maya Road houses. We have them in stock so encourage them to order them for you! If you still cannot find them, remember you can order them directly from our website. A network of LSS and online stores will be filling any orders placed on our site.

Can anyone enter this contest?
As long as you are not a member of the Maya Road design team or work for Maya Road, you are free to enter. Yes, that means we will accept all international entries too!

Can I submit a house that has been published before or posted online?
You can submit any Maya Road house that you decorated; however, you must retain the rights for the items to be published by Maya Road in the future and transfer the rights to Maya Road if you win.

What can I win in this contest?
Maya Road will be offering over $500 in prizes for this contest to be given to 5 winners. The prizes will be divided up as follows:

The Maya Road Design Team including the Owners will be judging this contest to pick the winners; if you are one of the winners, we will be asking you to give us some simple step by step instructions to share with our consumers in a newsletter and provide us with print quality photos for sharing with our consumers. You will also agree to have your name, city, state published in a future newsletter.

What are you all looking for when judging this contest?
We are looking for innovative projects that knock our socks off in terms of interpretation of "Home for the Holidays". It doesn't matter how you define "Holidays" but how you execute your ideas for a Home for the Holidays. We will be looking at the quality of work and for projects that inspire others.

How do I submit my entry for a house I have decorated?
Only email entries are accepted at this time. Please limit your photographs to a total of 5 photographs, maximum of 2 MB total for all the photographs (that means all 5 photos have to come in under 2 MB).

When you enter, please email us at MRHomeContest@mayaroad.com with the following information:

* Your full name, address, phone number and email
* 5 photographs of your project
* Email Subject: Maya Road Home for the Holidays
* Any special techniques you used on your entry

Make sure you submit your entry by 11:59pm (CST) on November 10, 2008. We will not be able to accept any entries after that time.

Make sure you take pictures of the album inside the house too! The more we see of your house, the easier it is to judge!

We will send an email back (give us a couple of days) - to say we have received your entry.

When will the contest winners be contacted?
All winners will be contacted on or about November 16th, 2008. All winners must submit the required photographs and step by step instructions as well as sign a release in order to receive their prize package. If necessary, we might ask for the projects to be sent to us to photograph; the projects will be returned to you once we photograph them.

When will the winners be announced?
Winners will be announced in a special edition email which will go out around the end of November.

do u know if it matters if they are the binder albums or the coaster albums? or if there is a difference?

you can buy from MR - they use shopatron to fill orders from any of their stockists. HTH.
Difficult to get in the UK tho'

Jennifer will be getting alot of MR, it's not easy at all to order form oversea's but with jennifer it will {4 me} becoz she has paypal!!

I only mentioned it in case you were after entering the comp - I should imagine that Jennifer will sign up to shopatron with MR - it's a good way to get extra sales I think - probably worth looking at
